Weight Management

Weight ManagementWhen it comes to exercising for weight loss, there is one main reason that people trying to lose weight don't reach their goals...

Their bodies are out of balance, and the exercise program they are following does not address and fix these imbalances. It just tries to get them to their goal as quickly as possible.

There is a certain amount of effort and energy you will need to put into your program in order to reach your fitness goal. When your body is structurally imbalanced, it will limit your capacity to exert yourself, and this will stop you from putting in the effort needed to achieve that goal.

For most people, there is some initial progress when starting their exercise program, but if imbalanced, they eventually plateau and go no further. At this point, one of three states usually occurs:

  1. THE INDEFINITE STATE
This person will continue to do the same thing, often times for many years, without ever seeing any more progress.
  2. THE INJURY STATE
This person will push harder, even though the body can't handle it, and injury occurs.
  3. THE GIVE-UP STATE
This person loses motivation and gives up or tries something else, figuring that they just don't have the ability to lose the weight.

The problem isn't in the exercise, but in the fact that the program isn't individualized for what the person needs.

At TRU Health & Wellness, we use in-depth assessments to analyze where you are structurally out of balance, and we individualize the most cutting edge form of exercise - functional training - to help you to most effectively reach your goal of healthy weight loss.
